Meet Paul Dion-
The Pet Whisperer

A Notch Above the Rest
Paul Dion envisioned providing a service to pet owners that was a notch above the rest. In 2004 he created Pet Whisperer to provide pet owners peace of mind while they are away on vacation or business. The Pet Whisperer gives each pet special attention in the comfort of their own home while their owner is absent.

Making a Difference
Paul grew up in the Houston area. Upon graduating he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served 14 years protecting our nation receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1987. He proceeded to try several careers searching for something that would make a difference in the lives of others.

In 1995, he began volunteering with a local animal rescue group working with cats. When he moved onto dogs he learned he had a special gift that allowed him to work closely with dogs intuitively understanding the way they think. During his 10 years in rescuing he was able to save hundreds of dogs that would have otherwise been given up for dead.

Paul began working as Vet Tech for Loop 494 Animal Hospital in the Kingwood area. As he began his tenure he discovered that he possessed a way with dogs, and even cats, when they came to the clinic. By responding to the animal’s body language and energy level he was able to make the visits less stressful for both the pet and their owner. He quickly became known for his talent and requests for his care of others pets grew. He became the Pet Whisperer.

Understanding Their World
Today, as the Pet Whisperer, Paul provides not only pet sitting services but a wide range of services to better assist making a happy life for you and your pet.

The Pet Whisperer offers training classes for dogs that range from basic Obedience to Behavioral training. He bases his behavioral training from Cesar Milan, the Dog Whisperer, himself. Having attended several of Cesar’s seminars Paul believes that dogs are truly misunderstood and that we owe them the opportunity to fit into the world that we are asking them to live in. Euthanasia is not a fix for a dog that is unbalanced. Paul believes that learning how dogs think allows us to understand their world and helps them adjust to ours as we bring them into our home as part of our family.

There is beauty in watching a pack of balanced dogs work with an unbalanced dog and give him or her back a life that they have forgotten. Dogs provide us with companionship, unconditional love and devotion, so we owe them the chance to live the life that Mother Nature meant for them to have.
